Let us help make your special day worry free. Each couple must come into the church and complete a Reservation Request and Authorization form in order to reserve the Sanctuary, a space for your rehearsal dinner, or reception. Reserving the wedding date on the church calendar requires a deposit. All fees must be paid one month (30 days) prior to the wedding.


A $200 refundable security deposit MUST be collected to book sanctuary. Security deposit will be returned at a later date by calling into the church and requesting the check. (Pending there are no violations of the rules).

It is New Hope MBC policy that each engaged couple being married here will be required to complete at least 10 hours of premarital counseling thru our Biblical Counselors. It is our belief that premarital counseling is an essential part of founding a Christ-centered foundation for a happy, healthy marriage.


All cost for counseling is included in the fee for your wedding; materials can be purchased at a minimal cost. Contact Biblical Counseling at (248) 350-2081 to start your sessions.



The main sanctuary has a seating capacity of 800 guests. The center isle is approximately 125’ feet long.



Our reception hall is located in the rear of the building with a separate entrance off the parking lot for easy entry. The Dotson Fellowship Hall can accommodate 300 guests. We can also accommodate a more intimate setting for a smaller reception. The use of our kitchen is available for caterers only. All food-catering services are subject to the Facility Use Guidelines defined in the Facility Rental Contract/Application. New Hope MBC allows the use of champagne only. New Hope MBC prohibits the use or consumption of any other type alcoholic beverages on the church premises. There will be NO smoking allowed in the Church building at any time.



There are several staff members who are here to assist. This includes our Pastor, Associate Ministers, Church Coordinator, an Audio Technician, Maintenance, and Security.



Floral decorations, bows, and a center aisle runner (125ft) are acceptable. The use of tape nails, tacks, or clamps on church furnishings are not permitted, pew clips are preferred. The use of candles of any type must be approved by the Church Coordinator, a Unity Candle table will be provided upon request. All decorations must be removed immediately following the ceremony.



Rehearsals are conducted on the day before your ceremony. There are no rehearsals scheduled on day of wedding. The rehearsal will begin promptly and last no more than 90 minutes and will start between the hours of six and seven in the evening. There is only one rehearsal. The Church Coordinator will be there to assist you and your coordinator.



Beautiful music requires careful planning. The music selected should enhance the beauty and spirituality of the wedding service. Secular music, is not suitable for inclusion in the wedding service and some music is not appropriate for a church ceremony ceremony at all. It is in the interest of preserving the sanctity of the wedding service, that New Hope MBC reserves the right to make final determinations as to what music may or may not be performed. NO RAP or HIP HOP music will be allowed at any time. All music must be on a CD, and submitted to the Church Coordinator at the time of rehearsal. The CD will be returned following the ceremony. CD’s must be clearly marked. Songs are to be in the order of the ceremony. Only staff of New Hope MBC will be allowed to operate the sound equipment. Any soloist should be present during the rehearsal.



Rooms are available as dressing rooms for the bridal party. A separate room will be available for use by the Bride, Attendants, Groom, Groomsmen and Ushers. The church reserves the right to change the location of the dressing rooms.



The wedding party should arrive at the church at least two hours before. Arrangements for the delivery and set-up of the flowers and other decorations must be made with the Church Coordinator one week prior to the wedding. Flowers and decorations should be completed two (2-3) hours before the wedding service.
