L. Whitney. He founded and organized the Spirit filled Baptist Church in 1980 composed of approximately one hundred members.
In 1992, Pastor Roberson
was called to minister to New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Southfield,
Michigan. God envisioned him with a seven point plan that would assist the
church with its growth. One of Pastor Roberson’s favorite bible quotations
is, “Where there is no vision, the people perish…”
As we go forward under the power of God and vision of Pastor Roberson, the seven-point plan for New Hope will be realized in the church and community as we begin to implement programs that will serve the needs of the members and surrounding communities. In closing, the pastor believes God is the God of consistency and order, not a God of chaos and confusion. We must have a firm grasp on existing and potential needs, conditions, opportunities, and barriers for our ministry here at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. We can dream the impossible dream, walk the impossible walk, and reach the impossible goal with God as our dream maker.
