New Hope Girl Scout Troops

All troops are currently meeting on the 1^st and 3^rd Fridays of every month during the school year (September through June).  We meet from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.  The Daisy troop however, meets for one hour only.  We fall under the Youth department with Rev. Diane McGhee, Youth Minister. 

Being on one accord, we do a lot of activities together.  Some of these activities include:  Girl Scout Sunday, Pastor’s Anniversary youth night, State Fair GS Parade, Youth watch night, Harvest Fest, GS ceremonies, Christmas parties and so much more.

Listed below is the information regarding the specifics on the New Hope Girl Scout troops:

The Girl Scout grade levels are as follows:

Daisy: K and 1^st grade

Brownie: 2^nd and 3^rd grade

Junior: 4^th and 5^th grade

Cadette: 6^th, 7^th and 8^th grade

Senior: 9^th and 10^th grade

Ambassador: 11^th and 12^th grade

Uniforms:

Uniforms are not mandatory, but we encourage the girls at New Hope to purchase one.  Uniforms should be worn to all meetings and to all GS outings including workshops.

While in the church for meetings, we do not allow heelies.  Be sure to let the girls and parents know this.  Gym shoes are not allowed on outings unless a lot of walking is involved.

Product Sales

Each year, the Girl Scouts participate in one or both of the Council product sales.  In the Fall, the girls sell Girl Scout candy and nuts.   In December, we begin pre-sales for the infamous Girl Scout cookies.  Sales typically run through March of the following year.  Booth sales run from February through March.
