Black History Month:
The youth department provides the activities that are designed to emphasize the importance of Black people in America, who they are and the contributions they made to the country and the world. We have activities which display the talents of our youth, challenge the knowledge of the youth and adults, and celebrate the heritage of our people. One Sunday out of the month we dress in the attire of our forefathers, either African or plantation dress. On that Sunday there is a soul food dinner that we share.

College Bound Program:
Encourages our youth in pursuit of higher education, by demonstrating that the New Hope Family loves them, cares about their trials, supports their effort, and keeps them in our prayers. This is accomplished by providing a care package to college students living away from home, which includes personal care items, cleaning supplies, snacks, a letter from the pastor, an audio-tape of a morning service, and when possible a Sunday school book. The college students who are at home are sent a letter from the Pastor, and a monetary token, to let them know they are continuously in our prayers.

The song, “Give Me My Flowers While I can Smell Them” is sung during this special part of the service. Much love is communicated in this simple action.
